The Government of
India has launched a Scheme for implementation of Re-structured
Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Programme
(R-APDRP) during the XIth Five Year Plan as a Central
Sector Scheme. Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC)
would be the Nodal Agency to operationalize the programme
under the guidance of the Ministry of Power. Under R-APDRP,
the Company has been sanctioned loan of Rs. 32.97 Crores
(against the total project cost of Rs. 36.70 Crores) for
20 projects under Part-A which include establishment of
reliable and automated systems for sustained collection
of accurate base-line data and the adoption of information,
infusion of technology in the areas of energy accounting,
etc. The loan along with interest thereon shall be converted
into grant once the establishment of the required system
is achieved and verified by an independent agency appointed
by Ministry of Power.
The twenty locations
covered under Part-A of R-APDRP are - Mehsana City, Ahmedabad,
Bavla, Deesa, Dehgam, Dholka, Himatnagar, Idar, Kalol,
Kadi, Modasa, Palanpur, Patan, Radhanpur, Sanand, Sidhpur,
Unjha, Vijapur, Visnagar, Viramgam
For the purpose,
the Quadripartite Agreement has already been executed
on 28-Aug-2009 by and between Ministry of Power (Govt.
of India), Power Finance Corporation Ltd., Govt. of Gujarat
and UGVCL. The other necessary documents have also been
executed for implementation of the Projects.
