The Government of Gujarat organized a Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit 2011 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar on 12-13 January, 2011. During the said Summit, three Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) were signed and executed in the name of the Company.

 The projects covered by the MOUs are – 

(a) Infrastructure strengthening of electric distribution network, new innovative schemes and distribution, system improvement for quality supply and consumer satisfaction (Rs. 1,120 Crores);

 

(b) Power Supply Scheme in Dholera SIR (Special Investment Region) (Rs. 5,000 Crores- (Rs. 2,500 Crores each by UGVCL and GETCO); and,

 

(c)  Strategies for increasing/stabilizing farmers’ income through R & D Project (through resource sustainability for energy and water saving) (Rs. 2.30 Crores).
